Killick Off Road Arts

KORA Sword & Dagger Class

This class is dedicated to preserving and passing on traditional weapons arts for future generations. Training includes sword, stick, and dagger work, alongside knife defence, drawing from both Filipino Martial Arts (FMA) and European traditions.

Classes balance historical understanding with practical application, ensuring these systems remain living, functional arts rather than purely theoretical study. Students develop coordination, timing, control, and respect for the weapon, while learning principles that translate across multiple disciplines.

The emphasis is on continuity, skill development, and safeguarding these martial traditions through responsible, structured training.

KORA Practical Self Defence Class

This class focuses on realistic, practical self-defence skills drawn from multiple traditional and modern combat systems. Training covers Contact Management for personal safety. It includes Pencak Silat, dagger work, and grappling (Lutte). There is also kickboxing influenced by Savate with a Basque flavour.

Often described as “MMA for the street,” the system blends safe sporting methods with effective self-defence principles. This ensures training is both responsible and realistic. The curriculum draws primarily from Serak and Sera. It consistently emphasises awareness, control, and practical application rather than competition.

Classes are structured to develop adaptability, efficiency, and confidence in real-world situations.

KORA Pencak Silat Class

We aim to preserve authentic Pencak Silat arts from Banten and West Java and pass them on to future generations. We draw from Serak and Sera, with a focus on practical self-defence. Our group also hosts our Pencak Silat Instructor for regular workshops.
